2021 Golden Globes Awards Winners List | Screen Rant
Sunday night, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association unveiled their winners for the 2021 Golden Globes - here's who came away triumphant. The Golden Globes are arriving in the midst of an odd awards season, following a year when moviegoing changed drastically. With the coronavirus pandemic leaving movie theaters shuttered for most the year, several major films missed out on releases, and awards bodies have had to adjust their eligibility requirements to accommodate the films unable to have theatrical runs. What has been left is a list of Golden Globes nominees unlike any other, even compared to their past surprising picks.
This years' Golden Globes have also arrived in the midst of a controversy regarding the diversity of the HFPA. The organization's decision to not nominate several notable Black films took on a new light in the aftermath of a report stating the HFPA doesn't have any Black members. They have since stated they intend to take steps to remedy this, but it remains to be seen what that action will look like. Nevertheless, that was what much of the buzz surrounding the Golden Globes was like going into the ceremony.
The 2021 Golden Globes is officially underway, and the winners are rolling out. This list will be updated throughout the night with each winner.
