Trailer Park Boys: 10 Funniest Cyrus Lines, Ranked | ScreenRant

Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles made a few enemies over 12 seasons and a number of specials of Trailer Park Boys, The hit Canadian series that captured the daily lives of the titular boys, though none of their misadventures were quite as memorable as those that involved Cyrus MacDougall, played by Bernard Robichaud.

Cyrus has his own unique style and mannerisms that fans have come to recognize, including the telltale "I'm Old (You're Young)" by Rick Jeffery playing on his car stereo every time he drives up, as well as a number of hilarious lines that have become incredibly quotable to fans of one of Sunnyvale Trailer Park's most universally hated character.

10 "9mm. Safety, Always Off."

Cyrus only ever lived in Sunnyvale Trailer Park during his first appearance in the series when he had strongarmed Cory and Trevor and taken over Julian's trailer while the boys were in jail, so he didn't get as much solo camera time as the rest of the residents.

However, when he did get the chance to share a bit of his story, he dropped nuggets of hilarious gold that he thought made him look cool. His description of his beloved Beretta 9mm belies his constant attempt to show that he's dangerous, even though Julian quickly revealed his cowardice when put to the test.

9 "...And I Want My Porn Tapes Replaced Because Those Were Crème De La Crème."

When Julian returned from prison he quickly set about removing Cyrus's belongings from his trailer, which included boxes of pornographic tapes that were, as Cyrus put it, the "crème de la crème" and probably the nicest thing Cyrus owned next to his red 1978 corvette and his 9mm.

His focus on the adult videos out of everything that was being removed was a character trait that returned in a later appearance in the eighth season. Julian's motel auction included more adult tapes of Cyrus, though, this time, he starred on the tapes with a number of women that were possibly men, leading to his recurring obsession with recovering his tapes.

8 "Why Don't We F**k On?"

Cyrus soon became known on the series for his unique way of twisting certain phrases, much like Ricky's own "Rickyisms" that have worked their way into our vocabulary, though Cyrus's particular twist all have a similar theme.

After being told to "f**k off" for the hundredth time by the boys, Cyrus turned the familiar retort back with his unique twist by suggesting they should do the opposite and "f**k on," which didn't really work and only added to the humor of the moment.

7 "Told Me He Was Proud Of Me Once. F*****g P***k."

Cyrus further explained his connection to his gun while talking to the documentary crew that covered the daily lives of the Sunnyvale Trailer Park and actually shared a touching moment that might have made fans feel compassion for the character for just a few seconds.

Cyrus revealed that his gun was a gift from his father, who said that he was proud of Cyrus once in what seemed like a very sweet moment. However, Cyrus quickly crushed that thought with a final comedic word on his father, which said quite a bit about the off-kilter character.

6 "If It Isn't The Big Tough Juliane, Duh, Bu-Bu-Bubble Telescope, And Helmet Head."

While some of the boys' various enemies on the series developed due to their criminal actions or strained relationships with authority figures, Cyrus was one of the few who ultimately just didn't like Julian, Ricky, or Bubbles and took every opportunity he had to make fun of them.

While he usually got off quick, sometimes pop-culture-related jibes at the boys, he was able to hit them all with one insulting, hard-hitting punch—which included his usual feminine pronunciation of Julian's name—when he arrived to collect money for their greasy "Rub 'n Tiz'zug" operation.

5 "We Don't Want Any Trouble, But We Don't Mind Making Some."

Cyrus began his own operations outside of the park with twin brothers and occasional associates of Ricky, Terry, and Dennis (Mio and Nobu Adilman), who ultimately went to jail with Cyrus after a shootout with the boys.

Cyrus, Terry, and Dennis were then bailed out by Randy, who was helping Mr. Lahey stir up trouble for the boys in the park. When Cyrus arrived, pumping his usual entrance song, he dropped his contradictory trouble-making declaration before starting another shootout that once again sent him and the brothers to prison.

4 "Well, How About We F**k Down!"

Cyrus' familiar turn of the phrase appeared again during a confrontation with Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles after the boys had worked out a deal with Cyrus, Dennis, and Terry over stolen hash and money that was messed up when Cory and Trevor misguidedly opened fire in the fifth season finale of Trailer Park Boys.

While they tried to explain that it was all a big "f**k up," Cyrus turned it back on them as he opened fire with a dramatic "how about we f**k down!" that was definitely one of his most successful turn of phrases on the series.

3 "It Ain’t Over Until The Fat Lady Sings - While She's B*****g Me!"

Cyrus' unique way of wording things not only managed to keep pace with Ricky's own take on the English language, but it also frequently provided an inside look into Cyrus' character and style of humor, which was usually raunchy and cringe-worthy.

With this witty comeback, he managed to take a frequently-used saying and give it a vulgar twist which, admittedly, didn't make much sense. This is, of course, coming from a guy who failed his Grade 10 exam, something which even Ricky managed to avoid doing.

2 "No One Here Is Man Enough To Knock This Chip Off My Shoulder?"

The best part about Cyrus' use of the apt description of his own personality is that he likely had no comprehension of the hidden layers to his challenge considering he was physically holding chips that he then put on his shoulder.

The irony of the statement is probably completely lost on Cyrus, whose own proverbial "chip on his shoulder" constantly prevents him from working amicably with the boys, who were all beat up and unable to rise to his challenge. Thankfully, Randy was there to take his pants off and knock Cyrus down so he could see his own joke fly over his head.

1 "F**k Off. I Got Work To Do."

Without a doubt the greatest and most frequent line used by Cyrus that has become as synonymous with the character as his chosen theme song is his parting phrase, the line "f**k off, I got work to do" is used almost every time he's one screen.

The irony is again lost on Cyrus, as he is usually the one who takes off by peeling away in his car after he drops his most famous line, but that just makes it that much funnier to fans of the "heavy metal d**k."
