Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina: The Main Characters Ranked By Power

Set in the eerie small town of Greendale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina recently came to an end on Netflix. The four seasons follow Sabrina's adventures with her friends, some of whom are mortal, and some of whom are witches. Sabrina herself is half-mortal, half-witch, but she's also destined for bigger things, which leave her with unexplained abilities.

According to legends and prophecies, she's supposed to be one of the most powerful - if not the most powerful - celestial beings in history. However, there are other powerful characters circling in her midst, like her aunts, the Weird Sisters, and Satan and Lilith. Here's how the characters much up against each other in terms of power.

10 Harvey

Harvey doesn't have any supernatural abilities, but he does have some physical and artistic strengths. Though most of his time on the show is devoted to being someone's boyfriend, he contributes to the Fright Club's adventures significantly.

Harvey is a thoughtful, artistic young man who gradually gathers the courage to stand up to his father, Sabrina, and even Nick. He isn't easily intimidated by the supernatural, even if he's pretty powerless to fight against it most of the time.

9 Nick

Nick Scratch is an all-around good student at the Academy. He knows his way around magic and spellcasting, but viewers don't see him use it nearly enough.

He doesn't use his powers as much as he could. Nick's biggest move is to host Satan in his mind, which he does for Sabrina alone.

8 Roz

Roz's overall arc ends up being one of the most pleasantly surprising of the series. In the first season, she dedicates a lot of time to reading, educating herself, and fighting for social justice.

In particular, Roz stands for equality. She also wants to make sure Sabrina realizes that being mortal doesn't mean that they're no longer equal. Roz's cultural background plays an important role in her journey of self-discovery.

7 Theo

As a mortal, Theo may seem to be one of the least powerful characters in Greendale, by some definitions. He doesn't have any supernatural powers to protect himself or his friends, but he does have his own will.

Theo is always up for an adventure if it means helping Sabrina and his friends, even if it means putting himself in danger. His character is also a powerful one, given that he transitions over the course of the show, providing a meaningful inspiration to the other characters, as well as the viewers.

6 Ambrose

Ambrose's greatest power might be his intelligence. He dedicates a lot of time to reading and experimenting, which leaves him with the most knowledge about the magical world. When a mystery needs solving, Ambrose is the one everyone goes to.

He always has the answers to questions about strange celestial developments, and he often knows the solutions, too. In this way, Ambrose could be the most powerful character of all, but when it comes to making decisions and acting, he falls short.

5 Hilda

Ambrose doesn't listen to many people, but Aunt Hilda is one of them. She may seem meek and introverted at first, but she proves herself plenty of times throughout the show. She stands up to Zelda, which takes guts, and protects those who cannot protect themselves.

Hilda also has some serious magical abilities. She helps to summon a tornado, resurrects herself from the dead on multiple occasions, and knows the remedy to every celestial ailment under the sun.

4 Prudence

Prudence overcomes obstacle after obstacle against all odds. She's on a quest for revenge, yes, but also to prove her worth and authority. In the end, she teams up with Sabrina to form an unstoppable team of witches working together.

Prudence's most memorable achievement may be her freeing herself from Blackwood's grasp. By the end of the series, she finally gets to take her power back from him. Prudence often does things independently, and even when nobody trusts her, she believes in her own abilities.

3 Zelda

Zelda is a natural leader and feels very comfortable with power. In fact, it's the one thing she's always worked towards in her life, and she can't function properly without it.

She becomes the High Priestess, then the Directrix of the Academy, and of course, runs the mortuary. She seems to balance her responsibilities well and enjoys instructing others on what to do. In terms of magical powers, Zelda proves her power time and again. From trapping Batibat to taking charge of the Church of Night, Zelda is a force to be reckoned with.

2 Sabrina

Sabrina doesn't let herself be bossed around by anyone, not even Aunt Zelda. She frequently goes behind her back and does things on a whim, like becoming the Queen of Hell.

Few people - or creatures - can best Sabrina in a battle. She seems immortal and manifests powers that nobody else has even heard of. She harbors the Void, after all, which most witches wouldn't be able to withstand, let alone fight.

1 Madam Satan

There aren't many people who have power over Sabrina - even her aunts and Satan don't - but Lilith is one of them. She easily manipulates the young witch in the first season of the show and continues working with her throughout the series.

Still, it's always clear that Lilith is the one with the real authority. She doesn't always take Sabrina seriously, which leaves her making tough calls. She's Sabrina's passage between Hell and the mortal world, and she can herald her away in a flash. Madam Satan is a sort of mentor for Sabrina, and she's worshipped by an entire coven, making her the most powerful character in the show.
