Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man's Villains Share a Disgusting Weakness

Ryomen Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man's Gun Devil share one massive but disturbing similarity - each villain's body is literally in pieces, scattered in different places, and can be used against them. While the villains' severed body parts act like a sort of twisted magnet, attracting them back to the whole, the hero of each manga is able to use this rather unsettling ability to their advantage.
In Chainsaw Man, there's an ominous, ever-evasive monster known as the Gun Devil that has killed an absurd amount of people in a ridiculously short time frame. As such, the Devil Hunters - who who have dedicated their lives to killing such creatures - seek revenge on the Gun Devil. However, not only is the Gun Devil proficient in the art of mass genocide, but it is also very difficult to find.
Devil Hunters only have one way to track it, and it involves gathering the body parts that somehow burn off the horrific creature. When the scorched pieces get within a certain distance to each other, they come together like magnets. And once the amalgamation has gotten large enough, the amalgamated mass will regenerate and return to the Gun Devil. Sadly, when the Devil Hunters' collection begins to move, they are lured into a building where a different Devil keeps them trapped for numerous days. It's eventually revealed they were attracted to this Devil because it had consumed one of the Gun Devil's body parts to become stronger.

In Jujutsu Kaisen, twenty pieces of the almighty cursed spirit, Ryomen Sukuna, are strewn across the land, causing havoc for whoever is unfortunate enough to come in close contact with them. In addition to cursed spirits endeavoring to consume Sukuna's body parts to gain more power like in Chainsaw Man, each body part acts like a radar. Unfortunately, one of the series' main characters, Jujutsu Sorcerer Yuji Itadori, first learns about this strange phenomenon during a battle over one of Sukuna's fingers. Because of this, his mind essentially only registers "eat Sukuna" and "power," so he quickly proceeds to consume it. Aside from the amazing fact that this doesn't kill Yuji immediately, it is revealed that the parts he consumes will help direct him towards other parts of Sukuna, just like in Chainsaw Man.

The main divergence is that in Chainsaw Man, the Devil Hunters are only using the Gun Devil's scorched body parts to locate and then fight the Gun Devil, which is still at large. Meanwhile, it is assumed that the entirety of Sukuna's body in Jujutsu Kaisen is in pieces. The Jujutsu Sorcerers' plan is therefore contingent on the fact that Yuji's body now seems to act both as a vessel to store Sukuna's body parts and as a radar to locate them. On their own, Sukuna's body parts are indestructible, but when they're inside Yuji, they are vulnerable. So if Yuji is killed when the pieces are inside of him, then the pieces he devoured will be destroyed as well.
Interestingly, by chapter 38 of Chainsaw Man, author Tatsuki Fujimoto began hinting at something that, if true, would create even more correlations between the two manga series. While the Gun Devil is out in the wild, Makima, a powerful Devil Hunter leader, makes a comment suggesting that Pochita - the little Chainsaw Devil who became the heart of the series' hero, Denji - might have some connection with the Gun Devil. Could Pochita have consumed one of the Gun Devil's body parts like how Yuji consumed Sukuna's finger in Jujutsu Kaisen? If so, then not only do Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man's villains possess a similar weakness, but both heroes have a piece of their enemy inside of them.
