Bachelorette: Signs Greg Grippo May Break Katie Thurston's Heart

Greg Grippo may have charmed Katie Thurston into giving him the first impression rose on the current season of The Bachelorette, but some fans think there are many signs that he will end up breaking Katie's heart.
The "hopeless romantic" (according to his ABC bio, at least) charmed Katie during the first cocktail party by presenting her with a necklace made from macaroni. The cute necklace was created by one of his nieces and earned him the coveted first rose. However, as the season has progressed, more information has come to light about Greg, which portrays him differently from his Bachelorette nice-guy persona.
Greg may have dazzled Katie with his charisma and good looks, but there are several signs that Katie may be in for a broken heart. Additionally, ABC released a dramatic teaser following the July 26 episode of The Bachelorette that gave a glimpse of Katie heartbroken and asking for a plane ticket home. Could her meltdown have to do with Greg? Here are all the signs Greg will end up breaking Katie's heart in the end.

A "friend" close to Greg, 28, spoke to The Sun, claiming Greg is a "schemer" who "leaves girls either heartbroken and questioning themselves, or both." The source went on to say Greg has been told how wonderful and good-looking he is all his life and has no problem using it to his advantage. "He gets away with bad behavior," the source said. According to the same source, people who know Greg back home "are equally shocked and appalled at how different he's coming off on the show."

While not an automatic indicator that Greg will break Katie's heart, he did apparently attend an acting school. A quick scroll through Greg's Instagram confirms he attended William Esper Studio, an acting school whose website boasts an impressive list of famous alumni, including Amy Schumer and Jeff Goldblum. While his attendance at the school isn't necessarily a red flag, it does show that Greg possibly has the skills to fool Katie into thinking he wants to be with her.

In a season full of men who are apparently on the show for the wrong reasons, it probably comes as no surprise to fans that Greg may be lumped into that category as well. Deuxmoi, an account that posts celebrity gossip and rumors from direct sources, posted a screenshot earlier this summer that alleged Greg is only on the show to further his acting career. According to Distractify, yet another Deuxmoi post shared a story from someone who claimed their best friend dated a "fan-favorite contestant on The Bachelorette," but the relationship turned toxic because his "sweet shy boy act is exactly that: an act. He really is actually an actor.” Those sources don't mention Greg by name, but fans have been quick to assume they are referring to Greg, especially given his background in acting.
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 PM ET on ABC.
