Destiny 2: Best Warlock Void 3.0 Build In The Witch Queen
Massive free-to-play updates have been introduced in Destiny 2 through The Witch Queen expansion, including the best Void 3.0 build for Warlocks. All three character classes received reworked Void subclasses in the latest expansion, allowing players to be more selective of the abilities combinations to better suit their playstyle. Warlocks, in particular, have some phenomenal options when it comes to the Void abilities they can choose to use, as well as great Exotic armor pieces that further help players create their best Void 3.0 builds in Destiny 2.
While the majority of the reworked subclass features are usable, all Void grenades must be unlocked in Destiny 2 in order to truly build up the best Warlock builds. Fortunately, they're very easy to unlock, as players only need to visit Ikora in the Tower to purchase them for 3,000 Glimmer each. Afterward, meditating in front of Ikora will instantly complete the quest for each Void grenade that players buy. This needs to be completed for each of the classes, so, for example, buying all of the grenades for the Hunter class won't unlock them for the Warlock or Titan classes.
The best Warlock Exotic armor that players will need to make sure they get are Eye of Another World, Contraverse Hold, and Nezarec's Sin. These are some of the best Warlock Exotic armor pieces in Destiny 2, and each of them significantly increases the frequency that players can use their Void abilities. Eye of Another World passively increases the regeneration speed of grenade, melee, and Rift abilities, while Nezarec's Sin increases recharge rate whenever players get a Void-damage kill from any source. Contraverse Hold helps players resist damage while charging their Void grenade, and charged Void grenade hits return energy upon hits. Certain builds will benefit more from each of these Exotic gear pieces, but they each play an important role nonetheless.
Although the Exotic armor pieces can impact how players choose to use their Void abilities, the constants that should be on all Warlock builds in Destiny 2 are the Nova Bomb: Cataclysm Super and the Healing Rift. The Nova Bomb: Cataclysm deals massive damage with a giant tracking Void bomb, and then explodes into smaller tracking Void bombs. Healing Rift can actually turn into an offensive ability with the Child of the Old Gods Aspect, where players are able to send a Void soul to drain enemies of their health to recharge their grenade and melee ability energy.
The best Aspects that players can equip on their Warlocks are Child of the Old Gods, for the reason mentioned above, and Feed the Void. Feed the Void grants players with the Devour effect whenever they defeat an enemy with a Void ability in Destiny 2, as well as the ability to restore health and extend the effect with every final blow. However, if players are using the Contraverse Hold gauntlets, they should switch out Feed the Void Aspect in exchange for Chaos Accelerant. Chaos Accelerant allows players to charge grenades for a more powerful version, which synergizes nicely with the Exotic trait of Contraverse Hold.
While there are eight different Void grenades to choose from, the best option is the Axion Bolt. This grenade splits into smaller orbs upon impact to seek out targets, and when charged, an additional orb is created that seeks enemies as well. Unlike the best Titan Void 3.0 build in Destiny 2, Warlocks are better off with a grenade that can track enemies so they can focus on using their other abilities at the same time. When paired with the right Fragments, Warlocks can simultaneously use and build energy for each of their abilities, with their abilities.
These are the best Fragments for Warlocks in Destiny 2 if players choose to wear Eye of Another World or Nezarec's Sin:
- Echo of Explosion: Void ability final blows cause targets to explode; Grants +10 Intellect.
- Echo of Exchange: Melee final blows grant grenade energy.
- Echo of Dilation: Crouching allows players to sneak faster with an enhanced radar; Grants +10 Mobility and +10 Intellect.
- Echo of Reprisal: Final blows grant Super energy when surrounded by combatants.
If players choose to use Contraverse Hold, along with the new Chaos Accelerant Aspect in Destiny 2, then they'll only have access to three Fragments. Since this particular build would focus on generating grenade energy, dropping the Echo of Reprisal from the equipped Fragments would be the best option.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
